The Capital label was trying to make a couple of extra bucks on the surf and car craze and the come on were the two Beach Boys songs but both had already been over used at the time of their release. The Superstocks, The Cheers and The Piltdown men were all studio creations that produced some very good tracks courtesy of Gary Usher. The Robert Mitchum track is so different that it remains remains interesting. Certainly not essential but a nice stop on the road.
